BC Search and Rescue Association (BCSARA)
The British Columbia Search and Rescue Association enhances the provision of ground search and rescue services in the province by bringing together all SAR professionals in BC to discuss and resolve issues, by accessing funding for training, providing occupational health and safety support, educating the general public on outdoor safety and acting as a common link to information and resources for Search and Rescue practitioners’ across British Columbia

PEP AIR, is a BC-wide volunteer aviation association dedicated to the promotion of Aviation Safety, and to the provision of air search support services to the National Search and Rescue Program.

AdventureSmart
AdventureSmart is a national program dedicated to encouraging Canadians and visitors to Canada to “Get informed and go outdoors”. The AdventureSmart program was created by the British Columbia Provincial Emergency Program with the assistance of the National Search and Rescue Secretariat, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the British Columbia SAR Association. AdventureSmart combines online and on-site awareness with targeted outreach to try and reduce the number and severity of Search and Rescue Incidents.  

Emergency Social Services Association (ESSA)
The Emergency Social Services Association (ESSA) was started in 1988 when a handful of ESS trainers and volunteers realized that there was a need for an organization that would raise the profile of ESS, assist the volunteers in becoming better educated and better prepared, and support the need for improvements in policies and procedures.

BC Tracking Association
The BC Tracking Association is a registered, non-profit, Provincial organization, recognized by EMBC. Currently funded by National SAR Secretariat.

BC Search Dog Association
The BC Search Dog Association is an organization of very dedicated individuals who train dogs for search and rescue in BC. The profiles that we train for are wilderness area search and tracking.

Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dog Association (CARDA)
The Canadian Avalanche Rescue Dog Association (CARDA) is the civilian organization entrusted with the responsibility of using dog teams for avalanche search and rescue. Founded in 1978, CARDA is a non-profit charitable organization. Each team, dog and handler, is highly trained, skilled and dedicated to achieve our mission of Saving Lives.
