The Polly SOLD

The Polly sold in the spring of 2018.

The Polly is a 1969 Alcan 370 all aluminium hull houseboat. Formerly known as the Howe Sound Navigator, the Polly is stored in a yard in Sechelt and the owners are motivated to sell.

Length  37’6″
Draft  34″
Breadth 11’11”
Gross Tons 11,500 lbs (approx)

Description:
All welded aluminum hull and topsides. Two steering stations, vertical ladder to sundeck with railings. The hull is a deep vee planing hull. She is fitted with two outdrives with duo props on each. This means there’s little pull to port or starboard due to the counter-rotating props.

The boat has big windows and would work very well for a live aboard. We’ve seen many people cruising with these up and down the inside passage. Very durable and corrosion resistant.

The upper deck is also aluminum and is very sturdy. You can store a launch or a set of kayaks up there, or have a small rave.

Strong welded railings all the way around the deck make this a very safe boat to work on. A very large swim step was added which makes it very easy to get on or off a launch.

This boat could easily be converted to a work boat such as a research vessel, dive boat, or water taxi. We’ve seen examples of each.
